Dipak Banerjee Memorial Lecture 2013

Prof Dipak Banerjee taught in the Economics department of Presidency College for four decades. During his long and illustrious teaching career, he mentored generations of successful economists who are now based all over the world. To honour the legacy of this great teacher and scholar, a memorial lecture was instituted here in 2007. This year we are honoured to have Professor Amartya Sen.

Professor Amartya Sen, Nobel Laureate, and Lamont University Professor and Professor of Economics and Philosophy at Harvard University, an alumnus of the department of Economics, Presidency College and Advisor to the Chairman, Presidency University Mentor Group, will deliver the Dipak Banerjee Memorial Lecture for 2013 at Derozio Hall on 15th July 2013 at 11:30 AM. The title of his lecture is ‘First Things First’.
