Training course on ‘Molecular Diagnostics’

1. Duration: 6 weeks, starting from first week of July, 2025

2. Fees: Rs. 12,000 for training only (No accommodation available)

2. Training area: Basic ideas of Molecular Diagnostics, DNA and RNA, PCR, Spectrophotometry, End-point and Quantitative RT-PCR, FISH assay, Bioethics and Biosafety

The enrolled candidates will participate in hands-on training on ‘essential lab techniques and lab safety measures’, ‘isolation and quantitation of nucleic acids’, ‘end-point PCR’, ‘quantitative RT-PCR using SYBR and Taqman chemistry’, ‘Tissue sectioning and FISH’ and ‘data handling and ethical norms’.

3. No of trainees: 10

4. Eligibility: Students holding any bachelor's degree (or in their final year) in Life Science or allied streams

5. Selection: The eligible candidates have to write a Statement of Purpose (SOP; max 250 words) highlighting their career interest/future goals in the field of Molecular Diagnostics and email it to the Coordinator, IHS (coordinator.ihs@presiuniv.ac.in) along with their CV. The subject line of the email should contain ‘Application to Molecular Diagnostics Training Course’. The shortlisted candidates will be notified by email. Payment procedure will be informed after selection.

Applications will be submitted till 22 ^nd June 2025. The course will start from the 1 ^st week of July 2025.

After the completion of the program, participants will get a completion certificate from IHS, PU.
