A Walk-in-interview will be held for the appointment of two Project Assistants in the MoES sponsored Research Project titled ‘Benthic-pelagic linking: An approach to delineate economically important macrobenthic population of Sundarbans Estuarine System’ in the Department of Life Sciences (Erstwhile Zoology section), Presidency University on Wednesday, 23.10.2019 at 3 p.m.
Date of interview: 23.10.2019 at 3 p.m.
Place of interview: Department of Life Sciences (Erstwhile Zoology Section, 2nd Floor, Bakers Building), Presidency University (Erstwhile Presidency College), 86/1, College Street, Kolkata-700073, India.
Time of interview: 3 p.m. The candidates are requested to reach the venue by 02.30 p.m.

Duration: Appointment will be till end of the project (i.e 10.04.2020) further extension may be granted depending upon approval of funding agency.
Salary: Rs.16400 per month (Basic14000 +HRA (15%) 2100+ MA 300)
Essential qualification: First class M.Sc. Degree or equivalent in Zoology/Marine Sciences/Marine Biology from recognized university.
Desirable qualification: Applicants having a valid rank inCSIR/UGCNET JRF/LS Examination and/or at least 1 year research experience in Marine Biology related work will be given preference.
Job requirement: To participate extensively in cruises/ field work at Sundarban Estuarine System, biological sample collection and analysis, which is the first and foremost requirement of the project. The PA will be responsible for the taxonomic identification of marine zooplankton and macrobenthic species. Students desire to work on taxonomic work encourage to apply.
