Md. Nasim Akhtar
Assistant Professor

About-
I joined Presidency University in August, 2018. My research interests are fractal geometry and fractal approximations.
Qualifications+
B.Sc., The University of Burdwan (2009)
M.Sc., Indian Institute of Technology Madras (2011)
PhD, Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (2017)
Biography+
My doctoral work at IIT Guwahati with Prof. M. Guru Prem Prasad collaboration with Prof. Maria A. Navascues, University of Zaragoza, Spain was on the estimation of fractal dimensions of certain fractal functions. After completing my PhD I was a visitor at ISI Chennai-Centre for a short period. Then I joined Aliah University as an Assistant Professor on 6th September, 2017 and was there until 31st July, 2018. I joined Presidency University as an Assistant Professor on 1st August, 2018.
Research / Administrative Experience+
My broad area of research is Fractals. In my Phd Thesis we have estimated fractal dimensions of certain fractal functions on a compact set. Now I am interested to investigate the local behaviour of the fractal function on a compact set.
