Molay Kumar Ruidas

Assistant Professor

Dr. Molay Kumar Ruidas is an Assistant Professor of Statistics at Presidency University, with research interests spanning probability distribution theory, statistical estimation, and Bayesian analysis under censoring schemes. His work primarily focuses on the development of new statistical distributions and methodologies, with applications in reliability analysis and real-life data modeling.

Dr. Ruidas has made significant scholarly contributions through publications in reputed journals, including Annals of Data Science, Symmetry, REVSTAT–Statistical Journal, and Life Cycle Reliability and Safety Engineering. His research includes the development and application of novel distributions such as the Transmuted Zeghdoudi, Mgamma, and polynomial exponential family of distributions, along with advancements in estimation techniques and Bayesian prediction under progressive censoring frameworks.

He was awarded the Best Paper Award at the 5th Regional Science Congress in recognition of his research contributions. In addition to his research, Dr. Ruidas is actively engaged in teaching and mentoring in statistics, fostering analytical and methodological skills among students.

His current and future research interests include hybrid censoring techniques, reliability modeling, and further advancements in distribution theory and applied statistics.
