Junior Research Fellow (JRF) No. of Post:01 Fellowship:25000 (consolidated) for Year 1 and 2; 30000 (consolidated) for Year 3 The position is available for 3 (three) years/ termination of the project, whichever is earlier. The appointment will be subjected to annual review for further extension that will be granted based on the research progress and accomplishments. |
Essential Qualification:M.Sc. in Plant Biotechnology/ Botany/ Life Sciences/ Biotechnology or an allied area with at least 55% marks. Candidate must have qualified CSIR/UGC NET with at least NET (LS) or Category-1/2/3 of CSIR-UGC NET
Desirable Qualification: Research experience in Plant tissue culture, Plant transformation, Plant Biotechnology, Molecular biology will be preferred. Basic knowledge in Plant Biology is essential. |

1. The above position is purely contractual and is for the duration of the project only. Selected candidates will not be entitled to claim any regular appointments/absorption in this institute.
2. All the terms & conditions for this recruitment will be as per the guidelines of Department of Science & technology and Biotechnology, Govt. of West Bengal and Presidency University Kolkata.
3. Candidates meeting only the minimum eligibility criteria may not necessarily be called for the interview. Short-listing criteria may be higher than the minimum eligibility.
4. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
