Advertisement inviting applications for the position of Project Research Scientist I ( Non-medical) in an ICMR-funded project at the Institute of Health Sciences   Date: 17/09/2026

Applications are invited from motivated and eligible Indian citizens for one (1) position of Project Research Scientist I, (Non-medical) in the ICMR-sponsored research project entitled “Development of PCL-PMMA nanofiber reinforced composites and profiling of their oral microbiome for dental applications”, under the supervision of Principal Investigator (PI) Dr. Paulomi Ghosh, Assistant Professor, Institute of Health Sciences, Presidency University, Kolkata.

Date, Time, and Venue of Interview:Tuesday, September 29, 2026. The interview will be conducted from 11:30 am onwards.

ii) Name and email ID or phone number of at least one referee, who can provide feedback on their academic background,

iii) Scanned copies of their mark sheets/certificates and a Government-issued photo identity proof.

Minimum Educational Qualifications Required: First-class postgraduate degree, including the integrated PG degrees. Second-class postgraduate degree including the integrated PG degrees with PhD.

The following qualifications are desirable but not mandatory:

a) Previous research experience in a project related to biomaterials/polymer.

b) Evidence of good oral and written communication skills in English through presentation.

Job description: The fellow will contribute to the fabrication and characterization of polymeric nanofibers and dental composites followed by their cell compatibility and animal studies. The fellow will take part in publishing the scientific findings in reputed peer-reviewed international journals. He/she is encouraged to set up collaborations with other members of the department at Presidency University.

Tenure of Assignment:Till February 2027 subject to the availability of funds by the funding agency.

Fellowship/Salary:

Rs. 58800 + Rs. 17640 (30%HRA) = Rs. 76,440 per month

Note:

1. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
