Fellowship/Salary:

As per ANRF norms: (Rs. 27000 per plus 30% HRA p.m) = Rs.35100 p.m]

Duration of Project:

Three years (Till 18 ^th March, 2029)

Tenure of Assignment:

One year. Can be extended annually till the duration of the project, subject to satisfactory performance. The post is purely temporary and subject to availability of funds.

Essential Qualification:

1. M.Sc. in Life Sciences / Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ Molecular Biology/ Zoology or related field (but NOT Home Science) with minimum 65% marks in all examinations from recognized University.

2. Qualification in the CSIR-UGC National Eligibility Test at the LS level or PhD Category at least

Desired Qualification:

Following qualifications are desirable but not mandatory:

a) Previous hands-on experience in mammalian cell culture, mammalian cell transfection, transformation and cloning in bacteria, and techniques such as Western blotting, RT-PCR.

b) Previous experience with bioinformatics tools.

c) Evidence of good oral and written communication skills in English through presentation.

d) Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering (GATE) or an “equivalent exam” if any.

Enrolling for Ph.D.:

The selected candidate may be allowed to enrol for Ph.D. program as per University rules.
