Advertisement for one JRF position at the laboratory of Dr. Santanu Chakraborty, Dept. of Life Sciences, Presidency University, Kolkata dated. 16/12/2019 dated 16/12/2019

Applications are invited for a JRF position under CSIR project (Principal Investigator: Dr. Santanu Chakraborty, Project Title: ‘ Injury-induced expression of Adamts4 as a novel cardiac stress biomarker in promoting pathological extracellular matrix remodeling ’ funded by Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, Government of India, INDIA.

Post: One JRF

Project Duration: 36 months

Fellowship: JRF @ 31000/- per month + HRA (as per university norms) & MA (As per CSIR project guideline)

Appropriate committee as per the CSIR project guideline will evaluate the progress of the project work after two years. Based on their recommendation, JRF may be upgraded to SRF with stipend of Rs. 35,000/- p.m. plus HRA/MA for the remaining tenure of the project.

Eligibility :

Minimum eligibility criterion:

The candidate must have good academic record with at least first class Masters degree in any branch of Life Sciences from recognized University and must have qualified UGC/CSIR-NET with at least NET (LS). A prior experience in animal cell culture, molecular and cell biology techniques and mouse/rat handling is highly desirable although is not mandatory. Maximum age limit is 28 years.
